To prevent guests from different families congregating in the reception area :
On arrival please call us from your car so that we can ensure that our hallway is clear of any other guests. We will then let you know when you can safely enter. We kindly request that you use the hand sanitiser provided at the entrance of the front door prior to entering the house.
A 2m social distancing sign is displayed on the floor as you enter. The check in will now be at a reception table at the door of the guest’s lounge. To reduce the handling of debit cards we would ask that you pay by BACS transfer or please call and pay over the phone a minimum of 24 hours prior to arrival. We will NOT accept CASH OR CHEQUES. Regrettably we will not be able to offer tea & coffee on arrival. This is to ensure safe social distancing can be maintained.
You will be advised as to which room you are in and on which floor, the key to your room will be in the door. We will be sanitizing room keys when guests check out to further reduce any possibility of cross contamination.
If you require help with your luggage then you will be asked to stand back from your luggage and your cases will be taken to your room whilst you remain downstairs. It may not be possible to lift excessively heavy cases. Consider using four small cases rather than two heavy cases.
Hand sanitiser is provided and is to be used after entering and before touching bannisters and internal door handles. For everyone’s safety please continue to frequently wash your hands during your stay and when leaving your bedroom.
During the day we will frequently clean communal areas including light switches, door handles, bannisters, door bells. Weather, and security arrangements permitting, the front door will be wedged open to minimise touching of the handles or frame.
Following government guidelines we will refresh rooms every second day only to reduce the frequency of entering your rooms. If you have opted for a continental breakfast then we will enter the room to remove your tray only.
In these unprecedented times all of us need to be mindful of the necessary changes to ensure we can safely accommodate you during your stay with us. For the foreseeable future the Dining Room will remain closed and guests can choose to have a continental breakfast served in your room at a time to suit you between 8am and 9am. This will consist of a variety of hot croissants, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and seasonal produce as well as filter coffee, tea will always be available in your room. The continental breakfast will be changed daily.
We are also offering the opportunity to stay on a ‘Room Only’ basis. For those wishing to have a full breakfast there are a number of cafes open only a short ten minute walk away in the town centre, or a five minute drive. Please see links under the heading ‘ Breakfast’
We have amended our prices to reflect the change in the breakfast we now offer so when you book you will have the opportunity to choose room only or add on a continental breakfast.
We politely ask that all guests vacate their rooms by 10am promptly to allow the rooms to be cleaned to the new Government coronavirus required standards. This will allow us to ensure the rooms are ready for guests checking in later in the day.

We have changed our booking policy, so that now we only ask for a £10 non refundable reservation charge and you will not be charged anything more until a couple of days before your arrival, we will ask you to settle the bill.
We have also changed our cancellation policy which allows you to cancel free of charge up to 7 days before your arrival. If however you need to cancel 7 days or less before your arrival then we will charge the full amount of your stay unless we are able to rebook the room, then you will be charged an admin fee of £10 which you will have already paid when you reserved your room.
